CARE
WHY IS A CULTURE OF CARE IMPORTANT TO US AT MOSAIC CHURCH?
Simply put, we care because God cares. A friend and apprentice of Jesus once said, “Cast all your anxieties on Him [God], because he CARES for you” (I Peter 5:7). God cared enough to come into the world Himself and die for our sins (which is our failure to perfectly love God and others in a way that is pleasing to God). He conquered our sin so we can now care for each other in the way God intended and that makes Him happy.
Jesus said in John 13:34-35, “Love one another: just as I have loved you…By this all people will know that you are my disciples [apprentices], if you have love for one another.” How did Jesus love us? He loved us by putting the love of God and others before Himself. He loved us sacrificially. Jesus wants His apprentices to love people the same way. When we do people know we are His followers.
Finally, we care because of how God has welcomed us back into His family. The apostle Paul once said, “Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God” (Romans 15:7). Mosaic Church wants to be a graciously welcoming church because that is how God has welcomed us. When we do this we reflect His beauty, HIS goodness, and His glory to our community.
